Once Russia receives her fair share of stimulus money, she will be on board as well. Courtesy of US tax payers.REUTERS - China and India signed up to the Copenhagen Accord for fighting climate change on Tuesday, joining almost all other major greenhouse gas emitters in endorsing the non-binding pact.
Russia is the largest greenhouse gas emitter yet to make clear if it wants to be associated with the deal, reached at a summit in December, which has strong backing from the United States.

Details emerge of billions awarded by the US to firms dealing with Tehran
The US taxpayer has given more than $107bn (£71bn)during the past decade to companies which are also doing business with Iran, it was revealed yesterday. That sum includes at least $15bn (£9.9bn) of US Government funds that were channelled to corporations which have defied international sanctions to help Iran develop its vast and strategically important oil and gas reserves.
Well, How about that ?? US gives money to her enemy. Then beats war drums ??The US Government's ban on dealing with Iran does not cover their foreign subsidiaries. Neither does it prevent Washington from giving taxpayers' money to overseas corporations which may also deal with Iran.

Chinese companies know technology -- and the U.S. political system, too.
China's A-Power Energy Generation Systems said it will build a previously announced U.S. wind turbine assembly facility in Nevada, a move that U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid saluted.
Nevada labor cost is one of the lowest in the US, thanks to the massive layoffs...However, this article does not account for the potential devaluation of USD as one of the main reasons.Just so no one misses the historic significance of this announcement, this is a Chinese manufacturer building a factory in the U.S. to supply equipment to a power provider largely funded and managed by Chinese companies. China is opting not to leverage its own low domestic labor costs. Nevada wages may be low, but they aren't as low as the wages offered in China. This is an example of how management, technological ability, financial and marketing savvy have grown in China in recent years.

And so it begins!
Hard to fight the company that puts food on your table.
And so the great western land grab begins.
Purely speculation on my part.

Mumbai – With 22 pen strokes, President Obama signed into existence not just a historic healthcare reform law but also monumental piles of paperwork: New member registration forms. More claims. Ever-expanding databases. And on top of that, pressure to cut costs.
The bulge in administrative work may look like a nightmare to American insurance firms and government employees. But to outsourcing executives here in India, it’s heaven-sent. A number of Indian companies are already anticipating an increase in workload thanks to Obama's healthcare law.

April 5 (Bloomberg) -- Power from planned wind farms off the U.S. East Coast would be more reliable if the projects were connected by transmission lines, researchers at the University of Delaware said in a study.
The U.S., the largest windpower producer in the world, has no offshore farms. Six projects off the coastline from Massachusetts to Delaware are being planned independently to meet power demand in adjacent states. Electricity from interconnected farms would be easier to manage and more valuable than from wind at a single location, according to the study.

China Again Hopes to Drive U.S. Rail Construction

Nearly 150 years after American railroad companies imported thousands of Chinese laborers to build rail lines across the West, China is poised once again to play a role in American rail construction. But this time it would be an entirely different role: supplying the technology and engineers to build high-speed rail lines.
The Chinese government has signed cooperation agreements with the state of California and General Electric [GE 18.50 -0.10 (-0.54%) ] to help build such lines. The agreements, both of which are preliminary, show China’s desire to become a big exporter and licenser of bullet trains traveling 350 kilometers, or about 215 miles, an hour, an environmentally friendly technology in which China has raced past the United States in the past few years.
“We are the most advanced in many fields, and we are willing to share with the United States,” said Zheng Jian, the chief planner and director of high-speed rail at the Chinese Railroad Ministry.
