Up to 16 people have been killed when Israeli naval commandos boarded aid ships bound for the Gaza Strip, meeting resistance from pro-Palestinian activists, Israel’s Channel 10 television said.

The six-ship convoy carrying aid for Palestinians and led by a Turkish vessel with 600 people on board set sail for Gaza from international waters off Cyprus on Sunday in defiance of an Israeli-led blockade of the territory.

There was no immediate comment from Israel, where public radio quoted an unnamed Arab journalist aboard a ship as saying the navy intercepted the activists and that shooting was heard.

Three German-built Israeli submarines equipped with nuclear cruise missiles are to be deployed in the Gulf near the Iranian coastline.

The first has been sent in response to Israeli fears that ballistic missiles developed by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, a political and military organisation in Lebanon, could hit sites in Israel, including air bases and missile launchers.

The submarines of Flotilla 7 — Dolphin, Tekuma and Leviathan — have visited the Gulf before. But the decision has now been taken to ensure a permanent presence of at least one of the vessels.

The flotilla’s commander, identified only as “Colonel O”, told an Israeli newspaper: “We are an underwater assault force. We’re operating deep and far, very far, from our borders.”

The Biblical references to Leviathan have similarities to the Canaanite Baal cycle, which involving a confrontation between Hadad (Baal) and a seven headed sea monster named Lotan. Lotan is the Ugaritic orthograph for Hebrew Leviathan. Hadad defeats him. Bibilical references also resemble the Babylonian creation epic Enûma Elish in which the storm god Marduk slays his grandmother, the sea monster and goddess of chaos and creation Tiamat and creates the earth and sky from the two halves of her corpse.

According to most ancient Jewish midrash, the Leviathan was created on the fifth day (Yalkut, Gen. 12). Originally God produced a male and a female leviathan, but lest in multiplying the species should destroy the world, He slew the female, reserving her flesh for the banquet that will be given to the righteous on the advent of the Messiah (B. B. 74b

Leviathan also appears in the Book of Enoch, giving the following description of this monster's origins there mentioned as being female, as opposed to the male Behemoth:

Another interpretation is that Leviathan symbolizes mankind opposed to God and, therefore, that it and the beasts mentioned in the books of Daniel and Revelation should be interpreted as metaphors. This interpretation comes from the apparent use of Leviathan in the Hebrew scriptures (e.g., Isaiah 27:1) to refer to a Semitic mythological beast mentioned in literature of Ugarit, a city-state in North Syria. According to Canaanite thought, the Leviathan was an enemy of order in Creation and was slain by the Canaanite god Baal. Therefore, for the ancient Jews, the word Leviathan became synonymous with that which warred against God's kingdom.[citation needed] This usage especially included nations warring against Israel, such as Assyria and Egypt.

However, Leviathan may have also been of the order of Seraphim. According to the writings of Father Sebastien Michaelis, Balberith, a demon who allegedly possessed Sister Madeleine at Aix-en-Provence, obligingly told the priest not only the other devils possessing the nun, but added the special saints whose function was to oppose them. Leviathan was one devil that was named and was said to tempt men into committing sacrilege. Its adversary was said to be Saint Peter.

In Christian literature, the Leviathan has often been used as an image of Satan, endangering both God's creatures—by attempting to eat them—and God's creation—by threatening it with upheaval in the waters, its native element. A similar view was taken by St. Thomas Aquinas, who described Leviathan as the demon of envy and the demon who is first in punishing the corresponding sinners.

Leviathan became associated with, and may have originally been referred to, the visual motif of the Hellmouth, a monstrous animal into whose mouth the damned disappear at the Last Judgement, found in Anglo-Saxon art from about 800, and later all over Europe.

The "Beast" !! It is uncanny or is it planned? Why so many esoteric/biblical references to things happening today? Why did "they" name a nuclear sub "Leviathan"? Why did they refer to Barack Obama's Presidential Car as code name "The Beast". Are "they" planting the seed of "end times"? Do they want the people to become so disgusted, complacent, or frightened that they give in and await the return of Christ? Or are these truly the "end of days", and no matter how or what "they" do or say....even if "they" think "they" have all of the control", when the bible states:


As Jesus points out, war is not necessarily a "sign" of the end of days, rather something that must happen as people continually slide into the chaos that results from their rebellion against God.

Her nuclear-powered engine will propel her through the water at more than 20 knots, yet the UK's first stealth sub makes less noise than a baby dolphin, making her as good as undetectable by enemy ships.

Astute's sonar is so advanced that if she was lying in the English Channel she would be able to detect ships leaving New York harbour 3,000 nautical miles away (although the details of how she can do this are classified).

The nuclear reactor will never need refuelling, and with an ability to make oxygen and drinking water out of sea water, the sub could stay underwater for its entire 25-year lifespan were it not for the needs of the crew.

Once she goes into operation in 2009, Astute will carry a 98-man crew and stay at sea for 12 weeks on a routine patrol.

This operation took place 4 months before the fall of the USSR, and was considered by the Soviet Navy as a part of possible nuclear war scenario ("Dress rehearsal of the Apocalypse"). The previous attempt of an all-missile salvo (operation code name "Behemoth") was performed in 1989 and finished unsuccessfully, however with no casualties.

It's the end of days. Evil has to show itself and not hide. It does work in deceptive ways, meaning, evil dupes people because it is not reasonable. Evil is animalistic and has no love. This is how evil works. It has only certain tools. It has to be destructive and of beastly ways because that's all it is. It has to call itself a beast and 'leviathan' or dragon/serpent, etc..., because that's what it is. It could try to appear nice but since it is not nice, and try to appear loving, but since it is not loving, then it can only be what it is, which is not peaceful. Evil will be so out in the open to those that see, because how does haughtiness hide? If such people of evil were not haughty and arrogant, then they would be meek and wise. Yet those of the wicked seed are not and therefore will be unreasonable.

It all appears as a plan because there is a plan. And the wicked don't like the plan and will fight trying to change the plan. But they can't change what has already been declared. In Genesis it says 'This is good' in accord with creation. It is good, but the wicked are trying to change good with wickedness. They can't. They try. They destroy.
