Sherlock Holmes
Watched it tonight. WOW! good movie.
It amazed me how many masonic symbols were in it. Im not going to go into it. You should watch it.
Basically the entire plot revolved around masonry.

Holmes
I've been a fan of Conan Doyle's original work for many years now, and just saw this movie today.
I was amazed how blatant it was in its use of secret society and occult symbolism. It was supposed to be a Freemason-type group, with a few members trying to create a New World Order (a character even mentioned the phrase "we've been at work for hundreds of years, bringing order from the chaos.") as the enemy, and of course Holmes solves the case and stops them from taking control of the government (whoops, spoiler?).
It almost works as a diffusion, making people think this type of stuff doesn't go on anymore. In reality, the villains succeeded and are controlling everything political, economical and religious-- in effect, controlling every aspect of human interaction.
It was a good movie, and works more as a distraction than anything illuminating against those nefarious beings in power.

The latest Hollywood blockbuster Sherlock Holmes revolves around occult murders and world conspiracies. The movie is riddled with occult symbols and allusions to a “New Order”. We’ll look at the history of Sherlock Holmes, the origins of the symbols found within the movie and its meaning in today’s context.
arthur conan doyle: Doyle was born into an Irish Catholic family in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1859. At age eleven, he was sent to a Jesuit school, Stonyhurst College, in which he was said to have spent “five unhappy and lonely years”. After obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery from Edinburgh University, Doyle developed a great interest for spiritualism . In an article appeared in MQ (the official Journal of the United Grand Lodge of England), Freemason Yasha Beresiner explains Conan Doyle’s interest for spiritualism and Masonry:
